Biography
Professor Tania Winzenberg graduated from the University of Tasmania, Australia as a medical doctor, and went on to become a general practitioner, receiving her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She went on the obtained her Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Newcastle, Australia and her PhD in epidemiology from the University of Tasmania, where she is now Professor of Chronic Disease Management. She is also Chair of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Expert Committee Research.
Research Interest
Professor Winzenberg has published over 100 papers in scientific journals including the BMJ and JAMA. Her main area of research interest is muscusloskeletal conditions, particularly osteoporosis and improving bone health in younger people and children.
